Porcelain

Porcelain is a versatile, durable material known for its sleek appearance and resistance to heat, stains, and moisture. With a wide variety of colors and patterns, porcelain is ideal for everything from floors to walls and countertops, offering both beauty and practicality for any space.

Notes from our Fabrication Team:

    • Porcelain is not an easy material for our fabricators to work with since it is extremely dense and hard, yet surprisingly brittle.
    • Porcelain is not through-body, so we are required to miter the material for countertops. If the porcelain is being installed on shower walls or floors where the edge of the material is not exposed, mitered edges are not
      required.
    • The only edge detail that can be achieved for a porcelain countertop, since it is not through-body, is a mitered edge.
    • Radius edges for sink cutouts and countertops edges are not suitable for porcelain materials.
    • Chips or damage to porcelain countertops are not easily repaired. Any repairs will be visible with porcelain.
    • Porcelain materials are not natural so there is little to no variation from slab to slab.

Inventory

  • We have an extensive porcelain sample selection in our showroom including all partners listed to the right.
  • We also have a remnant yard where we charge the client for the SF they use for smaller projects. Remnants will not work for larger projects like kitchens, for example. View the remnant inventory here and filter for porcelain.
  • Talk to your tile vendor for specific product details and maintenance.
