Stone Concepts is a dynamic company in the Granite and Tile space, known for delivering quality products and services with integrity and precision. We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team and lead our accounting operations.

Position Summary

As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s daily financial operations. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with GAAP and supporting the implementation of our new accounting software. This is a hands-on leadership position suited for someone who enjoys both the strategic and tactical aspects of accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting functions, including billing, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting and job costing.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and financial forecasts.
• Maintain and enforce internal accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Handle month-end and year-end close processes, including financial reconciliations and journal entries.
• Collaborate with external CPA to support year-end audit and tax filings.
• Assist with implementation and setup of newly acquired accounting software tailored to the stone industry.
• Oversee inventory tracking and ensure accurate reporting.
• Continuously identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.

   

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Prior managerial or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Attributes:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
