Travertine, Basalt and Limestone
These natural stones are known for their earthy tones and distinctive texture, adding
warmth and character to any space. Their timeless appeal makes it an ideal choice for
flooring, countertops, and walls, offering both beauty and durability with a classic, rustic
charm.
Notes from our Fabrication Team:
- Travertine, basalt and limestone, unlike porcelain, quartzite or marble, are moderate in softness which is easier to cut into precise sizes and shapes. These stones have natural voids that can be filled during fabrication for a smooth finish or left untouched for a rustic look.
- We can achieve any countertop edge detail on travertine, basalt and limestone.
- All natural stones are porous and require sealing for protection. Our installation team will apply sealant to natural stone during installation. Refer to the Stone Care link for more information.
- Natural stone slabs come with fiber glass mesh backing to protect and support the stone; which can have natural fissures in the material that will break if the fiber glass mesh needs to be removed.
- Chips or minimal damage to travertine countertops can be repaired.
- Travertine, basalt and limestone are natural stones that will require the owners/designer to hand select individual slabs/bundles since there can be variation from slab to slab.
